Are you passionate about education and eager to make a lasting impact? The Maia Baudelaire Foundation is looking for dedicated volunteers to teach our students. By joining us, you will contribute to the education and empowerment of young minds in a unique and inspiring setting.

Electronics Instructor

Empower Young Innovators with Hands-On Learning!

The Electronics Class at Maia Academy is a dynamic space where students learn to build and experiment with circuits, microcontrollers, and robotics. This well-established program equips students with essential problem-solving skills, creativity, and a practical approach to technology through hands-on, project-based learning.

As a volunteer Electronics Instructor, you will lead engaging projects that teach students the fundamentals of electronics, robotics, and embedded systems.

What we are looking for :

  • Background in electronics, engineering, or related subjects.
  • Passion for hands-on, practical teaching.
  • Experience with project-based learning and real-world applications.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm to inspire young learners.

Your mission :

  • Teach engaging, hands-on electronics lessons using Raspberry Pi, micro-controllers, and basic circuits.
  • Guide students through interactive projects like LED circuits, sensors, and robotics.
  • Use creative teaching techniques, including games, challenges, and storytelling.
  • Help students understand and apply key concepts like voltage, current, and micro-controllers.
  • Assess student progress and provide individualized support.
  • Collaborate with the school and Fondation Maïa Baudelaire to improve the curriculum.

Requirements :

  • Degree in electronics, electrical engineering, robotics, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching children or young learners (STEM/technology preferred).
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a fun and engaging way Fluent in English (spoken & written).
  • Patient, creative, and passionate about hands-on learning.

Bonus points if you have :

  • Hands-on experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, SDR, or IoT projects.
  • Experience teaching robotics or embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of child psychology or innovative teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with Nepali culture or language (not required).

Duration : 3 to 6 months.
